Sidebars and Widgets

Sidebars come in any color. They can be on the right or the left or even both. And yes, you can have more than one.

Widgets are bits of code which we can add to our sidebars, and rearrange to our hearts content. Sadly it takes much more muscle to rearrange our living room. And no, you don’t have to know css, html or any other “foreign” language. Now if you know these, it makes things easier.  See WordPress html

  1. Hello Heidi,

Please help. By the way my last name is Weaver, but I am no way affiliated with the Weaver brand. I am brand new to wordpress weaver and totally confused. Here’s what I want to do.

I have many articles that I want to put on pages (because I am going to use wordpress as a website and a blog) on the sidebar/widgets. But, I don’t know how to do that. Do I link to the pages of my articles? If so, please show me step by step. Thanks so much

  2. Hi Heidi
Working with Weaver 2 is it possible to change the color of the Recent Post, Recent Comments etc. headings in the sidebar instead of it just being black?

  3. Sorry another question if you don’t mind Heidi. Is it possible to change the gap between the header and the first sidebar widget?

  4. I tried that Heidi but the higher the negative number it starts cutting off at the top of the widget without getting closer to the header. There is a “Home” text above the article which I think might have something to do with it. Could you have a look at the site and see what you think if you don’t mind.
    The URL is
    Again may thanks

  5. Ok, I see the difference. It is moving the widget up behind the info bar. I have the info bar turned off on mine, using breadcrumbs instead.

Under main options, go to menus, scroll towards the bottom, check hide info bar, save settings. Should clear everything up for you.
